Cuisine

We serve cooked meals between 11 am  and 7 pm. We mainly offer regional dishes and specialities such as our popular varieties of dumplings, soups, „Kasnocken“ (little dumplings with melted cheese), venison, roasted pork and Maresi’s spaghetti specialities. Every day we also have a variety of  home-baked cakes. It goes without saying that everything we produce is homemade.

We focus on using only local and fresh ingredients so we don’t use convenience foods in our meals, so our menu goes by the availability of seasonal foods. We purchase our foods from local producers from the regions „Salzburger Saalachtal“, „Berchtesgadener Land“ and „Walser Gemuese“.

Venison: Bavarian State Forest, National Park Berchtesgaden, hunting community Leogang
Bread: Baeckerei Volgger , St. Martin bei Lofer (bakery)
Dairy products: Molkerei Berchtesgaden , Piding  (dairy)
Beverage: Brauerei Bürgerbräu, , Bad Reichenhall (brewery)
Wines: Weingut Salzl, Illmitz (winery)
Vegetables: Rupert Berger , Wals

The wild herbs used for our teas „Bergfex“ and „Berghex“ are picked by ourselves.
